The Institute of Industrial Research (IIR) is one of the leading 13 Research Institutes of Ghana’s Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the main Science and Technology Research and Development Institution of Ghana. The CSIR-IIR is Ghana’s foremost industrial research and development organization.

In seeking global solutions to today‘s challenges, the Institute collaborates with a wide variety of organisations in Ghana which includes Coca-Cola Ghana, Ghana Standards Authority and Kosmos Energy with Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) which plays an advisory role and supervises the work of the CSIR.

 

CSIR-IIR has also established academic partnerships with Lancaster University, UK, University of Nottingham, University of Benin, Nigeria, University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Lancaster University, Ghana and the Ghana Technology University College to advance its efforts for research and to expand the frontiers of knowledge.

 

Apart from its clientele, the Institute also works with several international organisations including the United Nations, national governments, and non-governmental organizations worldwide on specific projects and functions.

 

CSIR-IIR works with world class institutions such as ECREEE, COTVET, AGI, Biogas Association of Ghana, IRECOP and the African Environmental Sanitation Consult as partners to ensure unmatched efficiency in delivering on its core mandate.
